Sexism and gender inequality towards women in advertisements has always been an issue in American history. Women have always been expected to fill specific gender roles as the cleaning, cooking, and childbearing housewives. Today’s society has most certainly evolved to where such discrimination is deemed wildly inappropriate, but it wasn’t always like that. Take a look at these old advertisements and be happy that we will never see these again.
